My name is Cera Linehan, and I am a multimedia artist and musician residing in Phoenix, AZ.
I have always loved the process of learning a new skill. To “try-on” a new medium or technique feels, to me, akin to an actor preparing a new role. There is excitement in finding my footing and fumbling with a project.
“We don’t make mistakes. We just have happy accidents.”
Bob Ross
Watercolor and acrylic are my primary materials lately. Watercolor is endlessly forgiving, yet can spread and bleed uncontrollably. The shapeless dynamic paired with the contoured inking yield unexpected results every time.
I am the singer and lead songwriter for The Insoult, a musical project my partner and I started in 2024. The Bandcamp page is the best place to stay in touch with our noisy endeavors along with your favorite streaming/listening platform.
As one might imagine, writing has a rotation in my creative outlets, whether for lyrics or practicing a new poetic structure. While not as active as the art pages, the writing collection will update periodically with blog-style posts.
If you want to stay up to date with the chaos of my many, many projects, follow me on WordPress or sign up for email newsletters from me (no account-making! woo!). I promise the newsletters won’t come out too frequently, but even if they did, you’d want to see them.
