Summer 2025 Update

Hey! It’s been a minute since I posted an update! Here is what I’ve been up to this summer:

I hosted my first art pop up at the lovely House of Honey coffee shop.

The pop up was a resounding success! This was the first time I have attempted to sell any of my creative work, and the community hyped me up ☆

I completed a commission for a local hospital’s holiday party card.

This piece is based on a photo taken by one of the hospital staff while hiking the Grand Canyon.

I have been experimenting with more mediums. This sketchbook page has served as a reference for colored pencil and watercolor blending.

Primary Work Progress Update:

I began challenging myself with creativity exercises this summer after purchasing way too many Micron pens. This piece was not planned. It started as random lines drawn by my husband that I wanted to find a subject in.

The first photo in the following gallery shows the original exercise, with the line colors indicating the artist/layer. We both loved the resulting doodle, so I HAD to start a full size painting.

The piece is not finished yet, but most of the painted layers are complete. The initial exercise was done on August 7, 2025 and the most updated photo was taken September 21, 2025. Each photo update captures anywhere from 2-3 hours of work in a sitting. The current estimated working time is about 26 hours.

Thank you for reading the update! New written works are coming soon, keep an eye out 🙂
